Passion for Cinema

100 Great Movies

In my first lesson on cinema, some students asked me if I could recommend them great movies. I gave them few titles that I knew and immediately thought that I would have to prepare a longer list in case one day I would be asked the same question. Between 2019 and 2020, I have watched hundreds of films to better understand the cinema of a country, a genre, a movement, an actor or a director, and thus constitute a first list on which to draw my journey and shape my tastes in this ineluctably infinite and intense universe. There are many films that are poetic, philosophical, historical, deeply tragic, aesthetically pleasing, culturally significant, in short, masterpieces that impress and move the viewer, revealing the genius of their creators. Over time, this personal list will change, as would any collection, including new findings to be appreciated and discussed. Films, whether they are or not on a list, will always be an afternoon's pleasure, enlivening my passion and that of others for the seventh art.

Photographs & Paintings

Lists are an inventive method to structure one's thoughts or even to regroup one's favourites artworks. Besides my passion for films, I have carried on my lists by selecting great photographs and paintings that I consider personally relevant.
